I'm in Athens!
The above picture was taken with my older sister's P&S camera, because I was in fact dumb enough to think I wouldn't need my camera at dinner.
As you can tell, I was wrong.
SO. It took us 1 1/2 days to get here, including an overnight trans-Atlantic flight. (Can you say UGHIHATEFLYING?) It was seven when we arrived, and we went and ate dinner in the place already mentioned above. The food and view were both incredible.
The place is called Vive Mar, if you're curious. It is sorta... expensive. We spent about 85 euros on four people
Today we went to see The Acropolis, and the most memorable part was not the actual Acropolis, but the view.
Needless to say, I took enough pictures to last a lifetime. And then found out that my camera isn't compatible with my sister's laptop. MOVING ON....
We had lunch at Sholarhio, a fairly interesting plavace. Each day, they cook 18-20 different dishes, and bring you a tray with all of them. If you have four people, you can have 10 different dishes. I really liked the greek salad, pork and stuffed tomatoes.
Our afternoon was mostly spent in the acropolis museum, which scared me just a bit, as a whovian.
DON'T WATCH "BLINK" BEFORE COMING TO ATHENS!

LotsandlotsandlotsandLOTS of statues. It was, however, pretty interesting looking at all of the old statues and the excavation site which you can see through the clear floor.

P.S. Where else are we going on this trip?
Rome, Florence, Pisa, The Alps, Verona and Venice.
That should about last us a month.
