So, I have said before that I don't do auto. Which is partially true, partially not. I've been on manual ISO, aperture and focus for a while, but this is my first time full manual. The sucky part was that I needed a low shutter-speed as I was inside, and animals do have a tendency to move. Oh well.

All of the photos in this post were taken at my friend Karen's house when I went over on Friday. We played with Olga (that's the cute cat) for a while, but then we decided to go and try making light art. Behold:

I recently came across this above quote. My first thought upon seeing it was "That's so true!"- quickly followed by a thought that it needs to be shared. Basically, it inspired me to write a new "of artists" post. And I'm contradicting myself now. That first time, I talked about how we aren't all artists. Now I'm going to talk about how we are.

Confused yet?

While, I'm still sticking to my exact belief of that nobody is born an artist, everybody puts a lot of art out into the world. Your opinions. Your successes. Your failures. That's all art. So in a way, we all are artists. WE just need more people to see this. The more people who look at everything in the world and see art, the more creative and productive our world. So....

Why yes. Those are Sticky and Kate from The Mysterious Benedict Society. And yes, this belongs to me, too. Don't steal without linking back!!!!!

our on-again off-again good weather

The last few days have been spent frantically dashing outside to photograph the beautiful sunshine outside and back in again as to avoid getting my lens wet. It seems that Spring hasn't made up its mind yet as to whether it wants to be rainy or sunny.

The few moments of sunshine were 100% worth it, however.

Inspiring Blogs.... take two!

Back in November, I shared three of my favorite blogs for inspiration. For any of you who are feeling not exactly creative right now, here are three more. These opinions are entirely my own, and I am not being payed or even asked to endorse these blogs. Here we go.....

 

Color Me Katie

 I have to start by telling you that you absolutely must go check out Katie's blog immediately. Her photographs are vibrant and beautiful and everything she posts is inspiring. Trust me- half of the cool projects I've made were inspired by looking at her blog. Honestly, I wish I was as creative as she is. Who needs pinterest when you've got this blog?

Fernweh

I know that many of you have heard of Fernweh, but if you haven't, you really should check it out. Fernweh and Color Me Katie generally don't belong on the same list; they are essentially polar opposites. But they are both inspiring, both make you want to make something. I love both very much, and they are (and probably will always be) tied as my favorite blog.

Lucia, etc.

Although I have been familiar with this blog for a long time, it hasn't been really on my favorites list until about a month ago. This post knocked my socks off. Lucia's photography has been improving a lot over the time that she's had her blog, and I've got to say- her photos are beyond gorgeous. I look forward to every post, and I have to say, as of now, she is one of my favorite photographers on the blogosphere.

An actual post with actual photos belonging to me will be up soon. Just to clarify and avoid being sued (just kidding... sort of) the photos in this post are not mine and they belong to the respective blog authors.
